VISION
Women in Research pictures South Africa as a society in which young men and women choose to make informed and responsible decisions relating to their social and emotional lives in relation to their future.
MISSION
WIR aims to identify the unique needs of various communities, networks and collaborate with community-based organisations in order to address the identified needs in the communities. Women in Research approach in developing communities and people are to collaboratively facilitate the implementation of interventions with chosen organisations. WIR further sees its role to continuously conduct assessments and monitor and evaluate its effectiveness of delivering its interventions. It is also an aim of WIR to build capacity and empower vulnerable communities through building the skills base of the communities in order to improve psychosocial conditions and the quality of life.
